Our class took the reading MAP test on Monday. Everyone worked so hard and gave their very best effort. EVERYONE in our class beat their end of year growth target!!! WAY TO GO!!! As a celebration, we are going to have a picnic lunch tomorrow! If you can send a beach towel in with your child to sit on, that would be wonderful. Hopefully it won’t rain, but if it does we will just reschedule for Friday. So proud of these kiddos and all the work they have put in this year! AMAZING!!!
Don’t forget our Valentine’s Day party is Thursday at 1pm! Your child can bring their valentine cards in that day to give to their friends. For the party, we have divided up the class list by last name so please send in food with your child on the 14th.
A – E Salty (Chips, pretzels, crackers)
F – P Fruits/Veggies (Apple slices, carrots, celery, cucumber, grape tomatoes, grapes, berries)
Q – Z Savory (Cheese, pepperoni, pigs in blankets, cubes of turkey or ham)
**Just a reminder, our class is nut free!
We will need parents to help with the party so feel free to join us during the party time! We will be making a special class Valentine to say thanks to our great VPE cafeteria staff, we will play a Valentine game, decorate your own cookie fun, and have goodie bags!
We earned 30 stars for the seventh time! Our reward is a class share day! Your child may bring one item to share with the class tomorrow. Please bring something that will fit in their backpack so it can stay safe throughout the day 🙂
Thanks to Helm Publishing Press (aka Ms. Helm) our kiddos “published” their first book! They are in their folders today 🙂 I am so proud of their work on these awesome nonfiction books! We even got to share them with the kids in Ms. Geldhof’s class. Can’t wait to see the writing we are doing by the end of the year!!!
